Frequently Asked Questions
Our shop is located under the public parking garage at 10th and Oak Street, about two blocks before the Farmer's Market Pavilion. There is free 1 hour parking (free all day on weekends) in the garage and stairs leading down to street level. We are next to Ballet Fantastique and Man's World Barbershop. We have white signage in our front window that says "Fig & Bean Bakery", and we typically have a chalkboard sign out front during open hours.
Absolutely, our breads freeze fantastically! Just slice your bread, seal it in a freezer safe bag (removing as much excess air as you can), and place it in the freezer. Either defrost the whole loaf/all rolls at once in the refrigerator, then use as you please OR remove a serving straight from the freezer and pop it in the toaster for immediate consumption.
We typically keep bread on the counter for 2-4 days, then transfer it to the fridge for several more. If you don't think you'll finish the bread within a week and a half or so, you can always slice it, seal it, and freeze it.
Yes, they are indeed!
Yes! I will have official gift certificates available for purchase in the store very soon. For now, just let me know how much you would like to gift and I will keep a card at the shop. When the recipient comes in, they can redeem however much they like and I will note their remaining balance.
If you are interested in being shipped bread or having me ship to someone as a gift, please send me an email. I have two shipping options.
